PhD Dissertation Writing Grant

PhD Dissertation Writing Grant

As a PhD candidate in Social Welfare at Ewha Womans University, my research focuses on creating policies that support young adult orphans transitioning to independence. My long-term vision is to establish scholarships, study-abroad opportunities and host family programs, to equip these young adults with valuable education and life skills to succeed

College Scholarship Fund

College Scholarship Fund

College scholarship fund for orphan students in Korea who wish to pursue higher education. These funds will directly support tuition, books, and living expenses—offering a path to stability, empowerment, and a stronger future for youth aging out of institutional care

About This Project

Father to the Fatherless

God’s heart is for the fatherless and orphaned children are especially close to Him. He rescued me, placed me in a loving family, and healed the deep wounds of my orphan spirit. Through my adoptive parents, I came to know what it means to be loved and truly belong.

In 2007, God brought me back to Korea—to the very orphanage where I once lived as a child—so I could share that same message of hope and belonging with the children there. For the past 16 years, my life’s work has been devoted to serving orphans in Korea through mentoring, art therapy, and creating pathways for education and healing. I’ve walked alongside many of these children as they’ve grown into young adults, facing loneliness, hardship, and the painful reality of aging of the system out without family or financial support. The relationships we’ve built go beyond mentorship, we've become family ♡

My Vision: A Better Future for Orphans

As a PhD candidate in Social Welfare at Ewha Womans University, my research focuses on creating policies that support young adult orphans transitioning to independence . My long-term vision is to establish scholarships, study-abroad opportunities and host family programs, to equip them with valuable education and life skills to succeed.

I am at the final stage of my PhD dissertation and raising funds to cover essential expenses for the next year. With this degree, I know I’ll be in a stronger position to influence policies and create resources for young adult orphans whose voices often go unheard.

Thank you for believing in this mission and for being a part of this journey. Together, we can transform lives and be family for young adult orphans in Korea.
