Child Sponsorship

Child Sponsorship

The child sponsorship program is a monthly donation of $35, which goes towards the care of the child. It helps provide food, medicine, medical care, clothing, transport housing, education and more. It takes ten sponsors to cover the costs of caring for one child. The program builds meaningful relationships between children and their sponsors. Each sponsor is provided with updates and photos of the sponsored child three times a year. Sponsors are encouraged to correspond with the child as they are so led.

Jarawee Family Sponsorship

Jarawee Family Sponsorship

We have five homes that provide a loving family for the Agape children who live in the small village adjacent to our existing property. The relationships that the children build with their house parents are vital in helping them to learn what it means to be part of a family. We trust that these life skills will help prepare the children for real and successful relationships in their future. Your support for a family will help provide for the parents who pour their love into these children’s lives.

Project Lek

Project Lek

All the families who are supported by Project Lek funds have been impacted by HIV/AIDS, with either a parent of the child, or both the parent and the child being HIV-infected. In each case, the family has income from at least one other source, typically a job held by a parent, but the income from the other source(s) is not sufficient to meet the family’s basic needs. Because of this latter factor, the child is at risk of being separated from the family. In each case, the stipend provided through Project Lek helps maintain the family’s ability to stay together.

Cases will come to our attention in a variety of ways, including referral through a church, or other local contact, referral from another NGO, or referral from someone associated with the Agape Home. In each case, the family is visited, and an assessment of the required assistance is made. If the family is accepted for Project Lek assistance, the Agape Home will follow up on a regular basis, typically through the regular monthly contact for the disbursement of funds and through monthly pastoral care.

Located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the Agape Home for babies with HIV/AIDS opened in May 1996 as a response to the plight of children impacted by the spread of HIV/AIDS across Thailand.

Many of the children who come to the Agape Home to live are, or are at risk of being, HIV positive. Many of them have already lost their parents to AIDS, and there are no other options for their care.

Agape Home provides a loving family for 100+ children aged 0-21 yrs.

Our services include:
- Nikki's Place - Agape Home:  orphanage for Thai children with HIV/AIDS.
- Project Lek:  at-home assistance for HIV+ children living in impoverished conditions.
- Jarawee Village: family homes for our older children living with HIV/AIDS.
