2022 Summer Vision Trip

From June 28th to August 1st, ELM is coming to the US!

Four North Korean university students will be accompanied by two staff traveling to Houston, Agusta, Minneapolis and Dallas to sharpen their English skills, interact with people from diverse cultures, and engage in complexities of global leadership from top professionals in various fields.

Trips like this is crucial in developing these young North Korean students to be global leaders. They will experience and learn from various community of professionals and leaders from perspective fields. The most important aspects of the trip is for them to broaden their perspectives which will forever change the trajectory of each student’s life.

Your encouragement and generous contributions will go directly to fund travel costs of these students including international airfares from Seoul to Dallas and domestic flights to other cities on a month-long itineraries.

**Footstool offers Fiscal Sponsorship to organizations. Fiscal sponsorship allows qualifying organizations to legally raise funds in the USA and to legally issue tax receipts.**

2022 여름 비전 캠프

2022년 6월부터 7월까지 약 4주 동안 ELM에서는 미국으로 현장 학습을 갑니다.

이번 비전 캠프를 통해서, 우리는 탈북하여 온 자랑스러운 ELM 학생들에게 하나님께서 어떻게 행하고 계신지에 대해 함께 나눌 것입니다. ELM의 학생들이 주님으로부터 받은 목적과 비전을 삶 속에서 어떻게 이뤄가는지 그들의 이야기와 꿈을 통해 여러 교회와 단체들에게 함께 나누고자 합니다. 또한, ELM 학생들에게 이번 겨울 비전 캠프는 미국 현지에서 그들의 영어 실력을 높일 수 있는 계기가 될 것이며, 다른 문화를 경험하고 체험할 뿐만 아니라, 평생에 남을 수 있는 추억을 만들어 줄 것입니다.

여러분들의 격려와 지원은 ELM 학생들이 삶 속에서 주님의 뜻과 비전을 진정으로 경험하고 체험하게 해 줄 것입니다. 여러분께서도 삶 속에서 주님께 받은 은혜를 나누며, 전하였던 것처럼 우리 학생들도 이번 비전 캠프를 통해 우리 주님께 받은 그 은혜를 나누고 전하고자 합니다. 이번 겨울 비전 캠프가 진행될 수 있도록 함께 동참해 주시길 부탁드리며, 감사합니다.

ELM (English Leadership Ministry) provides 1:1 English tutoring classes, leadership training and mentoring opportunities to university students living in Seoul.  Our main goal is to empower and to cultivate global leaders through education and strategic partnerships with local and international organizations. “ELM” tree is native to Northern part of Korean Peninsula and is one of the strongest trees. It's bark is used for many tools. They uproot and grow well in multiple types of soil as long as they are given the proper amounts of water, sunlight, and shade…just like people, when given the right tools, can be adaptable and grow well in a variety of different lands. 

ELM(English Leadership Ministry)의 핵심 목적은 제자 삼는 것이며, 우리 학생들이 그들의 삶 속에서 주님께서 원하시는 목적을 바라보고, 알게 하는 것입니다. 그 일을 위해 ELM은 서울에 사는 탈북민 대학생들을 대상으로 영어수업과 멘토링(신앙과 삶)을 제공하는 사역을 하고 있습니다. “ELM" 나무(느릅나무)는 한반도의 북쪽에서 자생하는 나무로, 가장 강한 나무 중 한 종류라고 합니다. 나무껍질은 많은 도구를 만드는 데 사용된다고 합니다. ELM 나무(느릅나무)는 충분한 양의 물과 햇빛 그리고 그늘만 주어지면 여러 종류의 토양에서도 뿌리를 내리고 잘 자란다고 합니다. 이것은 사람도 동일합니다. 적절한 환경과 상황이 주어졌을 때, 사람들은 다른 지역과 문화 속에서도 잘 적응하며 성장할 수 있습니다. 탈북한 ELM 학생들에게도 영어수업과 멘토링은 한국의 또래 친구들 사이에서 주님의 제자로 자신들에게 주어진 잠재력과 재능을 최대한 발휘할 수 있는 값진 플랫폼이 됩니다.
